Don't confiscate this

I wore this to the Peace Walk today. It is a reference to this story: Youth Delegates Dragged from Convention Centre. Three delegates to the World Urban Forum in Vancouver were dragged out of the building, because they were carrying T-shirts that said, "Don't be a war toy." The T-shirts were also confiscated.

To be fair, this piece of work was done by United Nations security forces, not the RCMP or local police. Still, it seems like a feeling of collective embarassment is called for. I say, "You do have to ask yourself what combination of stupidity and malice has gotten into the U.N. when T-shirts are being confiscated."
